Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s solar-powered agriculture model as a scalable solution for Africa, emphasizing its role in food security, farmer empowerment, and clean energy adoption. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday underscored India’s growing leadership in sustainable agriculture and clean energy, stating that the country’s model of using solar power in farming offers a scalable and impactful solution for Africa.

Emphasizing the transformative role of solar energy, the Prime Minister said this approach can significantly contribute to shared prosperity, empower communities, and strengthen global food security. He described the achievement as a matter of pride for Indian farmers and the nation as a whole.

In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi shared an article authored by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. Quoting from the post, he stated, “Solar energy is emerging as a transformative force. India’s model of clean energy use in the agriculture sector presents a scalable solution for Africa that promises to strengthen shared prosperity, empower communities, and ensure food security. This is a matter of pride for our farmers and all of us.”
